Dear Delegates,
It is my great pleasure to welcome all of you to another exciting year of HAMUN! As the chair of the World Heath Organization, I hope this year will help all of us grow and learn more about the global community.
This is the first year that HAMUN has decided to include WHO as a committee in a number of years. This is a great privilege for all of us. I am exceedingly thrilled about the topics this year. Although both topics are heavily discussed, epidemics and HIV/AIDS, I hope that seeing them in a different light will provoke thought and inspire new insight on your views of how the world of medicine works and ties to advancing technology and ever-changing public policies.
The goal of this year is to broaden your horizons, to learn diplomacy, and to see things from a different point of view with a better understanding of world cultures. I will try my best to foster your growth along this journey. If you have any questions before or during conference, feel free to e-mail me at who@hamun.org. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you either at the DRWs or at conference in February.

Haseeb is an Honor College freshman at Houston Babtist
University pursuing a degree in biology and child development. He has hopes to attend medical school after finishing his undergraduate degree and become a pediatrician. This is his fifth year partaking in HAMUN.
