Crisis Committees
Crisis committees are the smallest committees HAMUN hosts, and offer opportunities for advanced delegates to participate in a fast paced environment and interact with actors in real time inside and outside of the committee room. Crisis committees are often modeled after historical or fictional decision-making bodies in the midst of a “crisis” event over the course of several months to several years, all contained within the two days of conference, in which delegates are tasked with drafting a response to the crisis while new challenges pop up during the committee to provide extra challenges and twists. As crisis committees tend to range from only 15 to 30 delegates, they are a fantastic opportunity for veteran MUN students to practice their debate and diplomacy skills with their peers and create alternate realities to real-world and fictional events.
