Andrea Flynn Scholarship
Andrea Flynn was born in 1911 in Minnesota. She initially attended the University of Minnesota graduating with a degree in political science before she moving to Houston and attending the University of Houston to obtain a degree in education. She married her love of politics, international affairs, and education in the classroom and created HAMUN as a way learn and experience the the world through the eyes of others.

In honor of Andrea Flynn, her children established the Andrea Flynn 1911 Memorial Scholarship and generously contribute the funds for the scholarship. The scholarship, in the amount of $1,911 in honor of the year Andrea was born, is awarded annually to a graduating senior who displays a passion for helping others and a desire through their career aspirations to make the world a better place.
