About this Committee

On October 24, 1917, the working class Bolsheviks of Russia attempted to overthrow the provisional government for the nation utilized after the February fall of the Romanovs, the prior governing body, prompting the anti-communist Whites to fight back. This committee will explore the details of the October Revolution and the Russian Revolution, analyzing how politics will be shaped and rights paved in the new society of Russia. Delegates will represent the Bolsheviks, the working class of Russia as they fight to gain power and influence in a new government that is representative of their needs. This committee will have a focus on building new political systems meant to last, maintaining power, and involvement in an internal revolutionary war, all while Russia continues to fight on the home-front of the Great War. The Bolshevik party will work through these hardships to fight to emerge as the governing leaders of Russia.
